characteristics: hardy, vigorous, spreading, round-topped, fruit borne
singly on variable-length spurs, annual bearing; bloom: late midseason, with Golden
Delicious.

slightly conic to somewhat oblate, occasionally round to ovate or lopsided on young trees,
length to width ratio = 0.95 to 1; basin: medium depth, wide, rounded sides, smooth;
calyx: persistent, partly open, erect to recurved; cavity: acute, medium depth and width,
smooth; stem: short, medium thick; core: small; skin: smooth, glossy, moderately tough,
medium thick, dark cardinal red, scant bloom, smooth, round, white dots; flesh: very pale
green, juicy, medium-grained, firm, crisp, breaking at harvest, mellows to firm and crisp
after storage; flavor: very spicy, rich, sprightly acid at harvest, peak quality after 1
