P. domestica. European type plum. Fruit: medium size, oblong-ellipsoid; skin: crimson blue; flesh: a little dry, firm, soluble
solids are 16.7 % at maturity; flavor: good, very tasty; quality: very good in La Pocatiere; ripening season: mid to late
September in La Pocatiere. Tree: somewhat hardy in La Pocatiere with 2 of 6 trees killed by winter injury in 14 years, fairly
hardy in Frelighsburg with a 2 on 3 rating for survival after the very harsh winter of 1989-90, has long, bushy branches
growing almost horizontally which makes harvesting somewhat difficult, starts bearing at 5 years; yield: somewhat low, best
trees yielded 20 to 27 kg/tree 11 years after planting in La Pocatiere but average was only 15 kg/tree; flowering: in La
Pocatiere, starts May 24 (range May 22-26) and lasts 11-13 days, full bloom is May 28-30. Other: self-fruitful, susceptible to
silver leaf disease.

sèche, ferme, renfermant 16,7 % de solides solubles à maturité; saveur : bonne, très prononcée; qualité : très bonne à La
Pocatière; époque de maturité : entre le milieu et la fin septembre à La Pocatière. Prunier : plutôt rustique à La Pocatière (2
des 6 sujets tués par la dessiccation hivernale en 14 ans), assez rustique à Frelighsburg (taux de survie de 2 sur 3 après le très
dur hiver de 1989-1990), à longues branches ramifiées presque horizontales qui rendent la cueillette plutôt difficile,
produisant à partir de 5 ans; rendement : plutôt faible (les meilleurs arbres produisaient 20 à 27 kg/arbre 11 ans après la
plantation à La Pocatière mais la moyenne était de seulement 15 kg/arbre); floraison : à La Pocatière débute le
24 mai (22-26 mai) et dure 11 à 13 jours avec floraison maximale entre le 28 et le 30 mai. Autres
caractéristiques : autocompatible, sensible au plomb.
